Owner, Laurie (Bidrowski) Van Ackeren started professionally pet sitting in 2001 and established The Pet Sitter Company.  In 2005, she worked part time at a local grooming salon and opened 4 Paws Only Dog Grooming Salon in 2007.  Laurie worked for an Omaha travel agency for 23 years before devoting her life to working with animals full time.

Laurie volunteers for a no-kill animal shelter in Millard, is a member of the NE Humane Society, the ASPCA, the US Humane Society & was a founding member of the Omaha Pet Sitters Assc., LLC.

Thoughout the years, Laurie has been a "mom" to many pets, including: many dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, gerbils, iguanas, frogs, hermit crabs, mice, chinchillas & sugar gliders!  She currently has three "human" daughters, 4 dogs, a chinchilla, 2 gecko's, a turtle, & tropical fish.

Laurie is certified in Pet First Aid and has taken many classes:  basic horse care class, vet assistant, dog obedience & reiki/massage.
